If you enjoy tuning in to XM Satellite Radio, then you'll love the fact that you can now listen to its various channels through a newly released homebrew application for your Apple iPhone. Entitled "uXM - iPhone", this handy app developed by Jason Millard allows you to sync with a majority of the online radio station's channels.

The current release of uXM, version 0.53, is still in its beta stage. However, it does a good job of connecting to XM Satellite Radio and its different channels. The homebrew app was confirmed to work with firmware v1.1.4 of the iPhone and iPod touch.

The developer noted that there are still a couple of bugs which may lock up your phone. He mentioned that this app was merely a way to show that XM Satellite Radio is possible on the iPhone. Those interested can acquire a legit XM Satellite Radio application which will be released with the opening of the new App Store this July 11.
