Reading on the go has never been easier thanks to developer pyefox's textReader homebrew application for the Apple iPhone. The latest build of the app finally moves out of the beta stage and into the official 1.0 version.

Much like its previous version, textReader 1.0 includes additional file format support,
as well as offers optional display background files while reading. You can check out the complete list of new features through the list below:

• Now supports (non-DRM) eReader/Peanut Press PDB files
• Now supports Rich Text RTF files
• Better formatting for Text, HTML, Mobipocket, FB2, Plucker, and Palm Doc files
• Optionally display background files from the /Applications/textReader.app/images directory when reading text
• Optionally allows use of pinch/stretch gestures to shrink/zoom text
• Better management of cache files
• Add option to force creation of a cache file when opening. You can always reopen a cache file even when you change the encoding settings because they are stored as Unicode.
• Improved indentation and formatting code

Due to popular demand, the developer gave a shoutout to anyone who was willing to make a user's manual for textReader. While this is still in the works, you can check out pyefox's project website for instructions on how to use the app's different functions.
