The funky musical memorabilia from the 50's/60's era known as the jukebox has just become funkier and hyped up with iPod. You can now play and view whatever's in your iPod in this Jukebox Station equipped with amplifiers and a 5-speaker system which produce quality sounds to let you listen to your music loud and proud, without the sound of skipping CDs.
However, don't put another dime in the jukebox just yet because...well, you don't have to! Gone are the days of dime-dropping to listen to the songs in the box. The JukeBox Station is operated with an IR remote control so you can set the volume and select the songs you want to listen to from across the room. All you need is your iPod dock connector and you're ready to go. Use your Universal Dock to plug your iPod in the JukeBox station and listen to up to 10,000 songs which are loaded in your iPod. Another cool thing about it is that the JukeBox Station has an LED Lighting System thus giving it a more vintage touch. The JukeBox Station has a Wood Enclosure Jukebox Style 2.1 Stereo System and can also access FM/AM radio stations. It's a meter tall, making it perfect for your game or music room. It also comes with a 17-function IR Remote Control, which allows you to select songs and set the volume from across the room. The JukeBox Station has RCA Input and RCA Video Output Jacks which you can use to connect to your TV set to view photos and videos. If you want to listen to your music real LOUD and not have the neighbors sue you for disturbing the peace, the JukeBox Station also has 3.5mm mini-jack input where you can plug in your headphones. Cool, huh? Unfortunately, iPod fanatics and vintage ravers would have to wait 'til October 2 of this year to get a hold of the JukeBox Station, which will be exclusively distributed by Pacific Rim Technologies in North America. You can also read our article on how to view videos and photos from your iPod on to your TV. |

In the age of thumb-sized storage drives, tiny mobile phones, and even tinier MP3 players, one would think that the grand, old boombox has met its end. However, thanks to iLive's IBCD3816DT you'll never again have to argue with your elders as to what was the better music player; this grand dame has managed to make everyone happy.Armed with a 2.1 Channel Speaker System which allows everyone to join in the music, your playlists are then loaded from your iPod, which is docked into the IBCD3816DT. This modern boombox accommodates the iPod Video, iPod Photo, iPod, the iPod nano, as well as the iPod mini. A port is also provided for iPod Shuffles, though this isn't quite as snug as the main dock in the middle of the body. ![]() Other features of the IBCD3816DT are: - Built-in audio CD drive - An AM and FM radio tuner which can be controlled via the LCD screen which defaults as a clock when not in use - An infrared remote control - An arm carrying strap for those days when you feel taking your beat to the streets. All in all, old school meets new school, and the result is music for everyone - and most probably one great party as well. |

Redwire DLX Jeans

The Redwire DLX Jeans is specifically designed to cater to the fast-growing iPod-toting global population. Fit for both men and women, the iPod Jeans allow music-loving fashionistas to enjoy their tunes on the go, and hands-free. This is made possible by the built-in iPod docking cradle hidden from view within a side pocket. The pocket design promises to eliminate that "iPod bulge", thus maintaining a clean, cramped-free look. Adding funk to the design is the red conductive ribbon, which allows the user to easily pull out the iPod from the pocket. Particularly astonishing is the existence of a special joystick remote control housed in the watch pocket to ensure maximum operation of the tunes without having to remove the iPod from the pocket. Through these "Hip Controls", it becomes easier to fast track or play back or even to adjust the volume of the music being listened to. ![]() The new Levi's jeans also have a headphone unit that is retractable to get those annoying tangled earphone wires out of the way. Coming out this fall of 2006, the Levi's Redwire DLX Jeans is sure to rock not only the world of music, but also the world of fashion. Oh, and it is totally safe for machine wash--provided that you take out your iPod first, of course. |

About 295 x 130 x 68mm and 650 grams, practically any table can accommodate it. It will be available in Japan by the end of the month for about $565. Don't worry, it comes with a pair of JBL speakers. |

Rumors galore! Even if the Mac Leopard would have a late 2006 or early 2007 release date, the backfence talks have not stopped. If rumors are to be believed, iChat 4.0 (to be included with the Leopard) will include the capability to call traditional phone lines, which is like existing VoIP big shot Skype and betas from Microsoft and Google. Apparently, the site who featured this reiterated the rumor recently since their "sources" had gave them an in-depth preview of the Leopard. With regards to the iChat 4.0, if it's able to call a landline or a cell phone, then that's awesome, but if it could only make PC-to-PC calls, then they don't have nothing new to offer to the table because people had been doing that for a long time already. Aside from the iChat gossip, there is also the rumor about more transparency, dashboard speed improvements, remote control access, tabbed iChat and whiteboarding among many others. Well, maybe these rumors could be trashed or verified when it will be previewed in the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference this coming August 7-11, 2006. Until nothing concrete and official is presented or written, then these will remain rumors. |

Onkyo continues to make its product iPod-compatible by releasing the CR-D1 CD/FM tuner amplifier with built-in iPod dock. The CR-D1 comes with DS-A1 dock option, which allows the system to connect and control the iPod via remote control. With the D-DIE 2-way speaker, optional UWL-1 module and a USB dongle, PC tracks can easily be transmitted. Connectivity isn't a problem with 1 x optical, 3 x RCA, stereo mini-jack inputs, subwoofer and headphone outputs.
The CR-D1 will be available in Japan on July 15 for 52,500 Yen ($456) and the D-DIE 2-way speaker costs $27,300 ($237).

Sofa Control - that should say it all. But for those who still don't get it, dig this.Sofa Control is an application that wasn't included in your Mac boxes but should've been, so CASE Apps made it especially for you. This application uses and extends the power of your Apple Remote via the AppleScript which is included in your packaged Macs. Along with automated workflows and controlled applications on the Mac, your Sofa Control also comes with support for several apps like Powerpoint, Preview, VLC, EyeTV, and Keynote, among other things. If this isn't enough good news, then read this: you can download scripts from a designated place so the number of the applications supported by the Sofa Control gets larger. Scripts will be provided by other users like yourself and share them with other Mac users. Sofa Control has two modes that you can use to interact with your Mac via the remote control. The first one is the Sofa Mode where you can use your Remote Control to access videos, documents and other files even when you're just resting on a chair (or a sofa). It provides an application switcher, big menus and file chooser. Auto Mode on the other hand, will allow you to use your Remote Control like another input device when in front of your Mac. Sofa Control will automatically recognize the application which you are using. Default actions are used when there are no defined actions for a certain application. Lifetime license for the Sofa Control is priced at $9.99 USD. |

![]() The Apple iPod Hi-Fi is a compact stereo system that has built-in support and a dock for the iPod. This product features a 130mm dual-voice core woofer, stereo 80mm mid-range speakers, and digital audio inputs and an analog. The Apple iPod Hi-Fi is selling for as low as $309 in Amazon.com and in some retail sites (this is already considered a bargain), most of which are shipping the product for free. This is powered by either six D batteries or via an AC adapter, and includes a remote control in the package. |

We all know how remote controls function right, unless you've been living under a rock for half a century. Your usual, garden-variety remote controls merely send commands right? Well, the iPod Remote Control with Display is different, not only does it send commands to your docked iPod from up to 150' away, it also has an LCD display that receives and shows iPod song information. This one is a good thing to have if you're the type who uses your iPod as a home stereo system or if your baby is not always within arms' length. The remote lets the user adjust the volume, view playlists and artists, and see both current and subsequent songs from distances that are too far to read the iPods' screen. Also, its radio signals works through walls, ceilings, and floors and it only requires one AAA battery which is included upon purchase. This thingamajig has a $127 price tag, more expensive than the entry-level iPod shuffle. |
