Apple Expo 2007 - Image 1

Annual event Apple Expo is generally considered as the European counterpart of Macworld Expo. Both events boast of sales conference and technology exposition organized by Apple and some other exhibitors. To those of you who have been following this, be informed that registration for Apple Expo 2007 is now open.

As always, the show will be held in Paris France, specifically in Porte de Versailles. It will run from September 25 to 29 and entrance fees are pegged at 12 Euros or roughly around US$ 16.33 for each individual. We looked at the conference's official site for further info but Apple hasn't listed any yet.

We believe that this year's event is going to be very exciting. Last year's expo saw the introduction of two new iPods as well as a new iMac. And you might be intrigued to know that Apple Expo 2005 didn't have any keynote speeches and Apple didn't drop big bombs save for a lone .mac bundle. So this could mean that they're saving their big guns for this year.

The Read link should take you to the event's site where you can register and read other details.

iPod Nano and iMac - Image 1 iPod Nano and iMac - Image 2

According to sources, Apple are going to take advantage of their media event on September 12th to introduce two new iPods and a new iMac. The new iPods includes the second-generation of the popular mini MP3 player that goes by the name of the iPod Nano and its bigger brother, the updated fifth-generation iPod. Apparently, additional members of the media will be invited to attend the September 12th event during this week.

Th event will be big, as Apple has gone through lots of trouble to get worldwide media attention. The event will be held near Apple's Cupterino, Calif. headquarters and will be carried by a private satellite feed to a central London location for members of the European press. The items revealed on the day are expected to be on show at the Apple Expo Paris - which also kicks off on September 12.

The new nano will sport increased capacities and be available in multiple colors with a metal finish. The upgraded iPod, meanwhile, is expected to sport increased capacities at the same price points. As far as the iMac goes, expect to see
faster Core 2 Duo processors inside and the addition of a new, high-end 23-inch model which we are interested in. Stay tuned to QJ on September 12th for updates.

Apple logoDetails are still sketchy, but Apple is planning on holding a special press event on September 12 according to an official email sent to Your Mac Life-- an online radio show. This junket is set to take place on the opening of day of the highly-touted Apple Expo 2006 in Paris.

Since there isn't much info about what's going to happen on the said Apple event, it seems that everybody is ready to speculate. Some are saying that the event will most likely discuss hardware introductions. BusinessWeek recently reported that according to their sources, an Apple movie download service will launch in mid-September, so most likely that will eat up a bulk of the press event. Well, we will give you more updates as they come our way, for now, feel free to speculate.

Steve JobsAnother Apple Expo is confirmed to be Jobs-less. Nope, it isn't a typo. Jobs-less as in no Steve Jobs.

This time, the charismatic Chief Executive passes on to give a keynote address at the largest annual Apple trade show in Europe. This was confirmed by organizer Reed Expositions spokesperson, Clementine Tisserand.

"There will be no keynote at this year's show" she said, adding that the decision was not made by Reed. The expo is slated to run from September 12 -16 at Porte De Versailles in Paris, France.

It is worth mentioning also that such non-appearance is not the first of its kind. Because of one reason or another, Jobs has failed to attend their company's expos since the year 2003.

It will be remembered that the new iPods and new fall Mac computer line were introduced using special media events last year of September and October.
