Headplay Personal Cinema System - Image 1

Headplay is probably every couch potato's dream. Imagine a TV. Now imagine being able to take it anywhere and everywhere you go (except perhaps in the shower), and being able to watch movies or play games on it anytime you want. That's the concept for the new "Personal Cinema System" device, Headplay.

Headplay is a head-mounted device; basically, a TV you wear on your head. You can connect it to your gaming consoles, your DVD Player, your iPod, your PC, and maybe your Betamax player if it hasn't choked on dust yet. If it has a video out function, Headplay can most probably display it. You can also plug in a memory stick and Headplay can run the media files - movies, videos, and images - with its own built-in player.

Once you're behind the lenses of Headplay it's pretty easy to just relax and go dead to the world around you. It's nothing but you and the screen, with the stereo sounds blocking off everything else. It's like your own movie screen inside your living room.

HitchIf you wanna transfer iPod files to another iPod without even touching a computer, then maybe you should take advantage of the services of Sima Products' Hitch. Pictures, Video, Audio, Documents-- name it! All can be transferred quickly and easily without being tethered to a PC the Â?old wayÂ?. Plus, it does this all without being plugged into a wall like a portable hard-drive, AND Hitch's internal battery can charge any USB charge-capable device.

So just how long would the transfer take? The company claims that Hitch can transfer a 4MB song in 5 seconds, an album with 15 songs for 80 seconds, a 2MB photo for 2.5 seconds, a 30 minute video for 3 minutes, and a 2 hour video for 12 minutes. Pretty good numbers there. Plus, Hitch will recognize and transfer files between the PSP's Memory Stick and another USB device (not games or UMD movies). Since the PSP is a multimedia player, go ahead and send that hot new song from your iPod to the PSP and listen to it everywhere.

This one will cost you $150. Aside from its capabilities, Hitch features a backlit LCD display and scroll-wheel navigation and is compliant with Digital Rights Management (DRM) copy-protection.

pspA digital photo collection doesn't only speak thousands of words, they occupy a lot of space - whether we're talking about your iPods, mobiles or even the PSP. Now, a new FREE software called Orb allows you to leave all your goofy images in your PC and access them anytime using a web-enabled device.

Orb turns any PC into a media server that can send password-protected photos across the internet. That means, you can free up your Memory Stick for more games. Image management are just the appetizers. It can also stream music and video collection via the same wireless route. Unfortunately, streamed videos will not be available to PSP owners. Something about Sony protecting its upcoming Location Free TV. Well, two out of three ain't bad.
