45 case - Image 1Ever wanted to go back to the days when you made mixed tapes but all you have is the present-day iPod Nano? Conjecture Designs may just have the thing for sentimental people: reclaimed cassette tapes rebuilt to fit iPod Nanos. They are also responsible for the vinyl record-themed iPod cases, relevant for those who want a taste of the Golden Era of music.

Dubbed as the "45 nano", these cassette cases are created from actual cassette tapes which are hollowed out to fit the iPods, with a clear plastic window shield installed to protect the portable MP3 players. The clear plastic shield has enough openings to permit access to the controls, headphone jack, and charging dock.

If you're interested in getting one, you can get any of the cases for only $US 45 a pop.

For more information on how to get one, go check the Read link!

iSkin's Cerulean wireless iPod accessories - Image 1iSkin is offering a new line of wireless devices for Apple's iPod. The newest addition to iSkin's line of iPod accessories, the "Cerulean" line, includes a transmitter, receiver and a headset.

The transmitter's called Cerulean TX. It's a plug and play stereo Bluetooth transmitter that connects to the iPod's dock connector. The TX works with the Cerulean RX receiver to send wireless audio to a speaker system. Users can also connect other devices that have headphone output through an auxiliary jack. The Cerulean TX and RX combo goes for US$ 149.99.

The Cerulean F1 headset, meanwhile, combines a Bluetooth stereo earphone with a mono mobile headset. It has a price tag of US$ 129.99 and is designed to work with both the Cerulean TX and a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. Users can even have it connected simultaneously to the TX and a mobile phone. The F1 will automatically switch to headset mode when a call comes in.

iPod 2GB

Barely out into the market, and the iPod 2G may already be showing early teething problems. praseodym of Appleinsider reports that he had a minor mishap involving the new iPod model, which was designed to be clipped to the wearer's waist. According to his report, as he was standing up, the unit fell to the ground, its aluminum clip bent out of shape.

Because of the way the clip was designed, he couldn't properly bend it back. While he could still run the iPod normally, the biggest problem was that the bent clip meant that the unit couldn't be plugged back into its original form-fitting cradle, which hooks up to the iPod via a multi-modal headphone jack.

If it's any relief, there's news that third-party manufacturer THOUGHT OUT is making plans to produce a USB jack just for this port, which allows users to hook their iPod 2G's up to PC's like normal MP3 players. Below is an image of the proposed USB jack design.

BeatBuckle - Image 1 BeatBuckle - Image 2

If you think that the TuneBuckle for your iPod looks fun albeit a little loony, maybe you oughta cast a fresh look on a quite similar product dubbed as the BeatBuckle. This one is a clear plastic case designed to house the already axed first-gen iPod nano, among other iPod models. And in case you're wondering about it, yes, it will hold your pants up very nicely since it is an actual belt buckle that just happened to have an iPod.

You'd have to get your own belt or you can buy one from the same company for USD$ 10. It seems that the creators of the BeatBuckle were somewhat inspired by the case latching mechanism of the Apple-created iPod shuffle Sport Case. Plus, it would also provide access to the iPod's headphone and Dock Connector ports. Simplicity is beauty as they say, and for the price of USD$ 30, a lot of simple people might consider buying one or two.

Sleeker iPod headphones!Let's face it: the standard iPod headphones, while being a status symbol and at a same time offering quality sound playback, aren't exactly the best headphones for the Pod. They're big, and it's hard to keep them in your ears for very long since they just pop out when you're doing something strenuous. Of course, if you want them to stay inside your ears so you could keep listening to your tunes, you'd have to force them inside your ears more so they won't pop out.

Ouch.

You could try buying one of the recommended headphones we had listed on a previous article, but seriously, that's not the cheap-ass way of getting quality goods for low prices! For the $200 you could spend on headphones, you could buy yourself a small stereo, a date with your girlfriend, flowers, and the chance to share the same great music over a candlelit dinner... or you could get yourself some new games! The bottom line is: our voices need to be heard!

Thank goodness our cries of pain and complaints of expensive alternatives have not fallen on deaf ears! Apple is now offering a sleeker version of their headphones for 29 bucks. Same stylish white that shows you're in with the trends. These have superb sound quality, are less painful on the ears, and are a lot cheaper than those super-headphones out there nowadays.

Sounds good, doesn't it?

iPod Jeans

Levi Strauss has once again proven why it remains to be the leading name in the denim industry. Setting a new definitive standard for innovation, Levi's has announced that it will soon be launching its newest line, the Levi's Redwire DLX Jeans. This product is no ordinary denimwear, for it showcases the unlikely marriage of fashion and technology.

The Redwire DLX Jeans is specifically designed to cater to the fast-growing iPod-toting global population. Fit for both men and women, the iPod Jeans allow music-loving fashionistas to enjoy their tunes on the go, and hands-free. This is made possible by the built-in iPod docking cradle hidden from view within a side pocket. The pocket design promises to eliminate that "iPod bulge", thus maintaining a clean, cramped-free look. Adding funk to the design is the red conductive ribbon, which allows the user to easily pull out the iPod from the pocket.

Particularly astonishing is the existence of a special joystick remote control housed in the watch pocket to ensure maximum operation of the tunes without having to remove the iPod from the pocket. Through these "Hip Controls", it becomes easier to fast track or play back or even to adjust the volume of the music being listened to.                           fashionable tech

The new Levi's jeans also have a headphone unit that is retractable to get those annoying tangled earphone wires out of the way.

Coming out this fall of 2006, the Levi's Redwire DLX Jeans is sure to rock not only the world of music, but also the world of fashion.

Oh, and it is totally safe for machine wash--provided that you take out your iPod first, of course.

iFloaterWater and MP3 players? Doesn't make sense. Before, listening to your MP3 player near a body of water, say in the pool for example, is a big no-no. You just can't afford to have your player and the speaker get wet or else...But now you can, with iFloat.

iFloat is a waterproof case and speaker designed for MP3 players. Now you can enjoy music under any weather condition. You can even take your player with you as you lounge in the pool during hot summer days for iFloat can literally float! It has a reliable hard-shell case with secure, rubber gasket seal that is completely waterproof. See the case in action by plugging it in your MP3 player of choice, as long as the player's compatible with a 3.5mm headphone jack. All it needs is a 9-volt battery and it's ready to serve your listening pleasure.

If you have $35 to spare, you might want to check out this Brookstone product. We must mention though, that there's a note in the product that says it's "not intended for prolonged swimming or underwater use." So just how long can iFloat really be "waterproof", we don't know.

The Memorex iFlipMemorex has revealed a new portable video player for fifth-generation iPods. Called the iFlip (not to be confused with the iPod case of the same name), the video player features an 8.4-inch LCD display, integrated speakers, a tilting iPod dock, and a lithium-ion battery. Users can watch their videos on the iFlip's built-in display or just use its speakers for music-only playback. Hmmm. If you close the iFlip, it looks kinda like an old external modem. Hah.

The iFlip (not to be confused with the computer table of the same name) has a native resolution of 480 x 234. Battery life clocks in at up to five hours of power. The unit also has S-video out, line out, and dual headphone jacks. While the iFlip (y'know what, i really wanna say "not to be confused with the portable video player of the same name" - couldn't their R&D/marketing guys have come up with a more unique name?) has its own on-screen menu system (for brightness, contrast, etc.), Memorex said that the user will still navigate music and video via the iPod. If this thing came with a remote, then I'd buy one in no time.

This baby will launch in mid-September, carrying a price tag of $200. The iFlip will be available in black or white, with an iFlip carrying case sold separately.

Bulletproof iPod - Image 1 Bulletproof iPod - Image 2

A guy from Japan was tired of worrying about his iPod while he is riding the train. You see, the guy mentions that when he rides the reliable means of public transportation to go to work, he constantly worries that his iPod will hit one of the steel railings of a train, or that it would be bumped by a big co-passenger. So when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade or if you're over 21, you slice 'em up and buy some tequila (just kidding).

He decided to make a protective casing for his iPod Photo. He made use of a corrosion-resistant material which is Aluminum A5052 and made sure that the Apple logo, the scrolling wheel, the headphone jack, and the sychronizer cable port ain't covered. The case has a 5mm thickness that ensures that wherever he goes - be it a hopping party or a busy commuter train - his iPod is safe and scratch free. It seems like it's bulletproof, but that is yet to be tested.

If you think that the iPod user jeopardized the handy and lightweight factors of his baby, set those doubts aside. When the guy weighed his iPod with the aluminum casing, it only weighed .446 grams -- now that's still a pretty good weight if you ask me. If you're thinking of getting one just like it, you may have a hard time doing so since the guy didn't mention any intention of making a lot of aluminum iPod casings.
