Homebrew developer ZodTTD has recently released a new beta build for the iPhone and iPod Touch's gpSPhone Gameboy Advance emulator. Dubbed version 1.8.0, this new release will now carry support for cheat codes. The rest of the changelog is available in the full article.

After seeing a huge difference in terms of screen size from the last version of gpSPhone v0.1.5, ZodTTD has released the latest version of this GBA emulator for Apple's iPhone and iTouch with gpSPhone v0.5.0. This latest version takes care of improving the application's general performance, as well as updating the format for its games' save states.

There's a GBA emulator on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, and it goes by the name of gpSPhone. Sounds familiar? gpSPhone is based off of Exophase's gpSP homebrew emulator for the Sony PlayStation Portable. GP2X developer ZodTTD adopted the gpSP code and added a few coding tricks.

And voila! ZodTTD presents gpSPhone version 0.4 and it though it leaves a lot to be desired in interface and presentation, it works like a charm. With future upgrades at the horizon, there's a lot of promise coming for Apple gamers everywhere.
