It won't be surprising if the Apple Mighty Mouse becomes an iconic Apple accessory in the coming months or years. Eversince its release last August of 2005, it has been reaping praises from Apple consumers everywhere...well, until recently. The mighty mouse is fine, but there are some people who are wondering, where in the world is the wireless Apple mighty mouse?

People have been asking that question since they thought all along that the wireless version would come out a few weeks or months after the release of the mighty mouse. Well, maybe Apple is waiting for a one year anniversary of the mouse's release before they ship the wireless variant. We don't know, your guess is as good as mine.

One of the many reasons why they are itching to get their palms on this one is because the Apple Mighty Mouse Wireless would be the only right hand / left hand interchangeable wireless bluetooth mouse distributed on a large scale (when and if it comes out). Apparently, the consumers are clamoring for a mouse that won't make them worry about which side of their laptop is free to plug it in, or to have some knots protruding out of their USB slot. Whatever happens, we will keep you posted in the coming weeks.

A plug and play internal Bluetooth upgrade is now available for PowerMac G5,  PowerMac G4 and iMac G4 systems. The chip adds Bluetooth connectivity between Macs and a wide range of Bluetooth-enabled devices such as PDAs, cellphones, cameras, headsets, printers, keyboards and mice.

Improve your Mac's Bluetooth performance and reliability issues with this update from Apple. When you begin installation after downloading this firmware update, the Bluetooth Firmware Updater Application will automatically be launched. Just follow the directions on the screen needed to update your Bluetooth Firmware. But if you were able to successfully install Bluetooth Firmware Update version 1.2, this update is not needed.

Should any under circumstances, that this update will not install properly, just shut down your computer and run it again. Take note that you should shut it down instead of just giving your computer a restart.

Macworld has posted some brand new images of a dissected Intel Mac mini. Nothing major has changed on the new Mac minis besides a few added ports on the rear and, of course, the new Intel chipset. They have, however, made it more difficult to upgrade by making the RAM slots less accessible, changed the hard drive to a Serial ATA 2.5" drive (from a Parallel ATA drive) and relocated the Bluetooth card.

The Intel based Mac mini's (available in Core Duo and Core Solo flavours) are available now from the Apple store from $599 US.

    

The new A737 from Hong Kong based manufacturer Ever-E may not have the catchiest name, but it's a fascinating piece of kit. "What's the point in an iPod Nano case that makes it so damned big?" I hear you ask. Well, your Nano docks into it, and far from just being a protective case, the A737 acts as a Bluetooth adapter, broadcasting your Nano's music to the Bluetooth earphones of your choice. If that's not enough, it also packs in an FM radio tuner. It also carries a built-in battery, giving your Bluetooth broadcasting a five-hour lifespan.

Not too shabby, even if it does bulk your Nano up a bit more than you might like. No word yet on availability and price yet though.

Clipping on to the back and bottom of any iPod with a Dock connector, Motorola's new Music Duo lets you use any Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth phone headset to listen to your tunes without need for wires. If you also have those working with your telephone, the Music Duo will pause your music whenever you get a call and restart it after you hang up.

The down side of course, is battery life. With the Music Duo connected, you can expect 10 hours play from your iPod at best, with battery life of the headphones or headset to think about as well.

Motorola expect to launch the Music Duo during the first quarter of 2006.

eMagin Corp. is unveiling a curious new product to the iPod community, a display you wear on your head that magnifies the image on an iPod to something akin to watching a large screen display from only a few feet away.

The product, dubbed the EyeBud, is worn around the head, with a small display an inch or so away from your eyes. At a proposed $599 retail value, the product would be among the most expensive accessories for the iPod, costing well over the price of Apple's most expensive iPod offering.

Though very strange-looking, the company is betting that the displays will become a commonplace occurrence in public, much like bluetooth headsets are basically the norm now.

Still, the accessory is a bit strange. You can always spring for the cheaper alternative, holding the iPod up closer to your face.

Scosche products have begun selling their Bluetooth iPod Car Transmitter and Receiver Kit. This transmitter enables streaming audio from your iPod or mp3 player to your car or home receiver. Connecting to the headphone output connector, it transmits to a Bluetooth receiver connected to the supplementary input of your car?s head unit or home audio system.

The car kits differ based on the cradle (#IPBCK for the iPod and #UBCK for MP3 players). The iPod interface works with all 3G and 4G iPods and iPod minis, while the MP3 player interface works with any MP3 players with headphone jacks (all of them). Both function with aftermarket head units and RCA inputs. The iPod and MP3 player car kits sell for $249.99 each.
