TransGaming has announced the release of a Cider port for BioWare's martial-arts RPG, Jade Empire: Special Edition, which is now available online via digital download. Learn more after the jump!

In light of the EA Maxis' Spore going gold, concern once again has hit the PC gaming segment over the definite inclusion of digital rights management (DRM) software with each copy. Many have argued over the integration of SecuROM on executables of The Sims 2 and its expansions, and now that Spore producer Lucy Bradshaw has confirmed Spore will be succeeded by at least one expansion, there's a whole lot of bickering to come for PC gamers. With barely a week to go before the release of Apple's new iPhone model, loyal gadgetphiles have already marked their calendars for July 11 - the release date of the new iPhone 3G. As expected, there's a virtual treasure trove of information regarding the new iPhone and we have it all wrapped up in a neat little Weekend Warrior bundle for everyone to browse through right after the jump.

So it would appear that some third-party developers are getting what Stardock meant - the fate of PC gaming is on the hands of the developers. BioWare, a reputable PC developer of the past, has also expanded to the console market like many others, but they aren't about to abandon the gaming platform. Speaking to MTV, CEOs Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk said that the role-play experts might keep developing PC exclusives in the long run. Last week's game releases introduced a lot of fun games, such as Dr. Mario DX and Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness. This week, however, is the week for game ports, with Mac getting its own conversion of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), the Nintendo DS getting the arcade classic Super Dodgeball Brawlers, and many others.
