Homebrew developer ZodTTD has finally released version 2.0.0 of his long-awaited Sega Genesis and Sega CD emulator, genesis4iphone. This version works with iPhones and iPod Touches running on firmware 2.x.x. More details after the jump.

iPhone and iPod Touch homebrew developer ZodTTD has released a MAME arcade emulator for iPhone and iPod Touch devices running on firmware 2.x. Right now, it supports a whopping 2,000-plus games ranging from the 70s to the present, although it's worth noting that not every rom may work with mame4iPhone. More in the full article.

Developer jonz (Jonathan A. Zdiarski) was recently able to give the NES emulator NES.app a new upgrade, bumping up the iPhone homebrew emulator to version 2.3.1. Homebrew developer ZodTTD was able to sneak in a small, yet very important update for registered beta testers of vlc4iphone. The latest version of the iPhone homebrew video player includes some critical bug fixes to some issues noted in previous releases. So fire up those iPhones and make sure to get yourselves updated!

A new version of ZodTTD's vlc4iphone (it also works on iPod Touch) is now out, bumping up the app to v0.9.8 Beta. Aside form the usual big fixes, this version also incorporates support for firmware 2.0+. Thing is, there's still a volume issue that's keeping the app from getting a public 1.0 release.
