OpenOffice may have started catering to the Mac with only a handful of features, but its most recent beta version may prove to offer more open-sourced office suite love to Mac users. It's a bit strange to note that right now, using Microsoft's Exchange application with Apple's iPhone is a bit better than using it with .mac. However, it looks like Apple's going to even it out, according to a rumor that .mac will soon get its much-needed overhaul and will be reintroduced with the new iPhone. The Wiimote is surely catching the eye of many manufacturers - even Microsoft and Sony have recently been rumored to come up with new controllers that seem to be taking a page from Nintendo's waggler. Evidence of a new patent from Apple hints of a new remote control system similar to Nintendo's Wiimote controller. The new filing was recently sighted on the US Patent & Trademark Office website and outlined the technical specifications for it, along with several possible applications. Rumors claiming that Apple's iPhone firmware 1.2 for developers has been jailbroken and available for use may not be without merit, as a video surfaced which show an iPhone with new features believed to be made public when firmware 2.0 comes out.
