Homebrew developer Richard Shearman has combined the very useful Safari Download Plugin and SeeQPod's streaming MP3 services to come up with a free alternative to iTunes: dTunes. With dTunes, you can now look for a song on SeeQPod and choose to download it as an MP3 and then play it back using only one app.

Developer BigBoss earlier announced on Sleepers that several iPhone homebrew applications got simultaneous updates today. These include Categories 2.04b, BiteSMS v2.3, and MyHTML v1.3. Read their respective changelogs after the jump.

I'm sure that iPhone 3G users would have heard of the persisting network problems users have been experiencing. Perhaps you may even be one of them. I even heard of one woman who sued Apple for false advertising over the speed of the iPhone 3G's connection.

Apparently, iPhone 3Gs grow on trees. If current whispers about Apple's future plans hold out, we just might be getting a deluge of iPhone 3G units in the market. Now I've heard of Metal Gear Solid 4 shipping in numbers of 3 million copies worldwide. But this... 45 million iPhones?! Whoa.
