iPray version 1.17 now allows Islamic iPhone and iPod Touch users to know exactly where to face and when for their scheduled prayer times away from home. Guided Ways added options to add consecutive reminders before the Athan prayers. The new feature from version 1.14 and above can perform a Pre-Athan Alert in increments of five minutes from 15 minutes.

Also, after the Athan, Apple handheld owners can opt to play a Dua, plus there's an auto-power up feature preempting prayer times, but it will have to set it up properly to avoid tardiness. Unfortunately, iPray v1.17 doesn't seem to include the new improvements promised since v1.02; the Hijri Date Converter and Timing on a Date are still incomplete.
