iPod shuffle gets price cut, new 2 GB available - Image 1It's small and compact, but the iPod Shuffle is doubling in size. In memory capacity, that is. Apple has just introduced a new 2 GB model of the iPod Shuffle.

If you're a musicphile (like a lot of us here at QJ), bigger storage is always better. Ok, 2 GB may still not be enough, but you have to sacrifice a few things when you want to cram a whole lot into something that small.

If you don't have a music player yet (or if you're looking for a new one) and you're content with 1GB, now's the time to grab the old iPod Shuffle model at an Apple Store in case they decide to phase it out. The 1 GB model got US$30 slashed from its price tag and is now available for US$ 49. The new 2 GB version is available for US$ 69.
