NBC iPhone hacked - Image 1Keen viewers of the most recent Saturday Night Live episode aired by NBC may have noticed something a bit odd on the iPhone shown during the iPhone: The Affair segment. The folks at Gizmodo took one step ahead of just noticing it, actually screencapping the moment the iPhone was zoomed in during the skit.

In this screen capture taken by Gizmodo, there is a strange icon that is not usually present in most iPhones unless the phone is hacked. The strange icon is the blue Installer icon also used for installing third-party applications as well as opening it for use with other networks, just like the iPhone installer.

It's just interesting to notice that unlocked iPhones are now becoming as common as having pancakes for breakfast. How will Apple take this tidbit? Will it spark a minor controversy that involves public apologies? Let's wait this one out.
