iPhone Homebrew developer edgecrush3r has announced that Crossfire 0.5.0 is now available for download. Those new to the homebrew scene may want to know that this application is a web-based streaming webclient for the iPhone.

According to the developer, Crossfire currently supports a variety of web browsers including both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Here's a list of the program's current features as taken from the release thread:
  • Browse, Search and Stream Firefly Media Files
  • Customizable Device/Browser recognition
  • Skinnable Themes/layouts
  • Extensive GUI layout engine
Like all homebrew, be sure to go over the documentation included to avoid any problems. That said, before you download the app, may want to spend some time to check out a video of it in action.
