iPhone - Image 1

With the last software update for the Apple iPhone being released with much aplomb, we're quite surprised that the latest firmware was rolled out with nary a buzz - but as it is, it's here, and it's been promptly jailbroken without any ill effects. Yes, that's right - the application that unlocks the full capabilities of your Apple iPhone has been applied to this new firmware, without any danger of bricking your elegantly-designed telecommunications doodad.

Huh. Well, certainly not quite the groundbreaking update, but definitely important for those of us who want our iPhone experience to be just a bit more smoother.

As for the jailbreaking, however, while the current jailbreak version works on the latest software update, Apple homebrew developer Zibri of ZiPhone fame highly recommends that you shouldn't really upgrade yet. It's more of a safety precaution than anything else, and users should just wait until he comes out with a new version (which should be pretty soon, considering the buzz around this matter). Updates as we get them, in any case!
