iPhone Development Program: Applicant accepted from the UK - Image 1There's silver lining to every story. The same can be said of Apple's noticeably stringent selection process for their iPhone Development program. We're receiving word that at least one UK developer has received an email accepting him into the program - an interesting note to point out  given that the program was previously limited to North American developers.

In this particular report's case TUAW member Skaro reports that he paid a total of Â£ 59 (US$ 116) for his application. The Program is currently available for North American applicants for US$ 99. That's just the standard package, by the way - the "Enterprise Program" package will set you back by a hefty US$ 299.

That said, this is certainly good news for the developers out there hoping to make the most of the resources Apple's planning to offer. Drop by again in case we receive word of any more accepted applications.
