The Robota Software House has announced the release of iPhone Chess v1.5. This application is based on the GNU Chess engine and should provide Chess fans with hours of solid gameplay on their iPhones.

iPhone Chess v1.5 has a graphical user interface which allows users to select and move the pieces by tapping their fingers on the touch screen.

In terms of gameplay, expect all the usual moves including piece promotion, castling, and en-passent capture. Players pressed for time will be happy to know that the game fan now load, save and even e-mail your game.
