Apple iPhone users might want to know that iJailBreak version 0.5.3 has just been released. This latest version adds a few improvements that make it easier for users to jailbreak (i.e. unlock) their iPhones.

The biggest change with this program is the fact that it now unlocks any iPhone regardless of whether the unit was bought before or after June 29. Another notable improvement the developers have added is better compatibility with the Power PC.

The developers have apparently been getting conflicting reports from iJailBreak Version 0.5.2 users regarding how iJailBreak worked. Some said that the program worked, while others didn't. This update has been further tweaked to ensure PowerPC compatibility for those running Tiger or Leopard.

Before you install this application, be advised that it does not include iTouch support. In addition, new iJailBreak users should know that the program doesn't include any documentation, so be sure you know what you're doing before running it to avoid any unwanted incidents with your iPhone.
