The Helicopter game is probably one of the earliest and most played side-scrolling platformers out there, so it's no surprise to find yet another homebrew clone of the game surfacing. This latest incarnation is designed by developer squimmy for iPod Touch and is entitled iCopter.

As primitive as the game concept is nowadays, you can't beat the rush a finger mashing, side-scroller gives once you pick it up. Here's an early image of the game provided by the developer:

 

In addition, squimmy mentioned that the game has only been tested on the 1.1.1 firmware so far and will have to be manually installed onto your iPod Touch for the lack of an online repository. Also, when installing the game, don't forget to set your file permissions to 775 or else the game won't work.
