Remember the gameboy4iphone v1.1.0 beta emulator that ZodTTD released just yesterday for the iPhone? If you were wondering when the dev would be releasing this app outside of its test team, then we've got some good news.

ZodTTD has just announced the early release of gameboy4iphone v1.5.0, designated as this homebrew's very first full public release. As ZodTTD further elaborated regarding this release:

gameboy4iphone v1.5.0 is a brand new version, and first to be seen by the public. It is based on a port of GnuBoy done by yoyofr and Tinnus. It is fullspeed, fully featured, and has nice sound too! It even limits its speed to actual Gameboy framerate if going too fast.

There is one major catch to this news, however: gameboy4iphone v1.5.0 is currently available to Cydia users only. Cydia, in case you're asking, is a progressing package distribution software originally developed by Saurik. It works very much like Installer.app, though ZodTTD notes that it has better framework.

The good news is that Cydia has been tested to work on an iPhone already running on Installer.app - the latter will be getting its gameboy4iphone v1.5.0 soon. Further details on this app and Cydia are available at the author's site via the source link below.
