According to a recent post on The Business Online, Apple is set to offer a download service for films on iTunes. The announcement is expected as early as this week. It won't be a big surprise if that announcement is tomorrow at the event Apple will be hosting where "fun new products" are to be unveiled. The new service is said to involve "network computing and entertainment products around the home so music and video can be wirelessly streamed from one device to another. Films downloaded on to an Apple computer from iTunes could be transferred through an Apple Airport wireless connection to a digital television or stored on a video iPod."There are quite a few predictions to what Apple will be unveiling tomorrow. These predictions include a brand new video iPod, a wide screen Notebook, and a hi-fi docking station for your iPod. We'll be here all day tomorrow covering all the tiny bits and huge announcements from the event, so be sure to check back soon! |

I don't know a lot of people, who understand anything at all about sound quality, to prefer the stock earbuds that come packaged with all iPods. Then again, I don't know of any headphones or earbuds to be favored by everyone unanimously. Some people want the best quality, sacrificing the visual aesthetic and comfort, while others want something a little more low-key, at the sacrifice of sound quality -- of course, I haven't even begun to talk about price. For the undecided, or those of you who don't understand all the jargon out there, Mac World News provides a little refresher course. The article covers all types of headphones, including wireless headphones, so be sure to check it out. And for our readers who have found that perfect pair of 'phones, let us know, we'd like to try them out. |

Get ready for a new remote for your Apple iPod (were you in the market for one?). Called the Zicplay Tuneview, the remote looks pretty darn slick at the moment, judging from the picture. According to various sources, the remote will emulate the iPods menu and interface on its screen.Given the relative lack of remotes out there, this one might actually be worth looking into. It is reportedly set to launch later this year at the CeBit Show in Hanover, Germany, according to Shiny Shiny. It will be made available through Keyspan. No word yet on its compatibility. |

Clipping on to the back and bottom of any iPod with a Dock connector, Motorola's new Music Duo lets you use any Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth phone headset to listen to your tunes without need for wires. If you also have those working with your telephone, the Music Duo will pause your music whenever you get a call and restart it after you hang up.The down side of course, is battery life. With the Music Duo connected, you can expect 10 hours play from your iPod at best, with battery life of the headphones or headset to think about as well. Motorola expect to launch the Music Duo during the first quarter of 2006. [Via Mac Rumors] |
