The company Integrated Mobile Electronics (IME) has announced that its IME Docking System has entered the production stage and is set to be released to the U.S. market shortly after. The device allows you to dock all popular MP3 player models seamlessly into a car's sound system for easy on-the-go listening. It doesn't matter if you like Apple's iPods, Microsoft's Zune or SanDisk MP3 models. The IME Docking System has a variety of docking bays that will fit them all. These bays are interchangeable to make switching easier for owners of more than one device. IME's modular and integrated docking system has a universal base which fits snug into a dashboard or central console in any vehicle. About six to eight weeks from now, these devices will be on store shelves. Pre-orders are most welcome to IME as it rewards those who do so with a 15 percent discount on every purchase. The IME Docking System goes out for US$ 250, while additional docks are available for US$ 90. |

Headplay is probably every couch potato's dream. Imagine a TV. Now imagine being able to take it anywhere and everywhere you go (except perhaps in the shower), and being able to watch movies or play games on it anytime you want. That's the concept for the new "Personal Cinema System" device, Headplay. Headplay is a head-mounted device; basically, a TV you wear on your head. You can connect it to your gaming consoles, your DVD Player, your iPod, your PC, and maybe your Betamax player if it hasn't choked on dust yet. If it has a video out function, Headplay can most probably display it. You can also plug in a memory stick and Headplay can run the media files - movies, videos, and images - with its own built-in player. Once you're behind the lenses of Headplay it's pretty easy to just relax and go dead to the world around you. It's nothing but you and the screen, with the stereo sounds blocking off everything else. It's like your own movie screen inside your living room. To read the complete review of Headplay - what it is, what it does, how it plays on Microsoft's Xbox 360, Sony's PlayStation 3, and Nintendo' Wii on it - click on the link for the full article. |

Ever wanted to go back to the days when you made mixed tapes but all you have is the present-day iPod Nano? Conjecture Designs may just have the thing for sentimental people: reclaimed cassette tapes rebuilt to fit iPod Nanos. They are also responsible for the vinyl record-themed iPod cases, relevant for those who want a taste of the Golden Era of music.Dubbed as the "45 nano", these cassette cases are created from actual cassette tapes which are hollowed out to fit the iPods, with a clear plastic window shield installed to protect the portable MP3 players. The clear plastic shield has enough openings to permit access to the controls, headphone jack, and charging dock. If you're interested in getting one, you can get any of the cases for only $US 45 a pop. For more information on how to get one, go check the Read link! |

It's yet to be confirmed, but Gizmodo reports that one of their readers tipped them off to a somewhat disturbing thing taking place in Apple and Best Buy stores in the East Coast: retail outlets would no longer be receiving old Apple keyboards. iMacs are still being received in Apple and Best Buy in Oakbrook and Michigan, but old boards seem to have a contrasting status. Nobody knows what this means and stores haven't really given an explanation. There's nothing to confirm that Apple will come out with rumored new keyboard in the near future, making the situation more bizarre. We'll try to get an update on this one as soon as new word comes in. |

The watch apparently comes with a receiver that lets users command iPods to play or pause, raise or lower volume and skip between tracks. The iControl can also reportedly interact with iPhones, but this feature requires switching the iPhone into Airplane Mode. On the non-music side, the iControl can store up to 50 laps in its built-in memory and can store a training log with the current date, best lap and average time. It's water-resistant up to a depth of 328 feet and is available in pink, blue, green, orange and gray/black. It should be in stores today with a suggested price tag of US$ 125. |

One valid concern consumers have about Apple's iPhone is its battery life. According to the experiment done by PC Mag, the battery will die out after around 675 days and that's a pretty much generous estimate, if we may add. Apple, on the other hand, released some good ol' reminders on how to expand the batteries overall lifespan. Supposing the day your iPhone's battery dies finally comes, what are you planning to do? Contact Apple and sign up for its battery replacement program? You could but if you want to save some money, you can opt for another solution courtesy of some unknown Chinese company which released a DIY iPhone battery replacement kit. We don't have the kit ourselves but it should contain the rechargeable battery, a set of assembly tools, and an instruction menu. While this may only cost you US$ 20, take note that it requires opening your mobile phone as well as de-soldering the old battery and soldering the new one. In case you are interested and want to know more, our Read link below should take you to retail chain Brando's online product page where you can order the replacement kit. |

A comparison image of the old Apple keyboard and the rumored new Apple keyboard has been making its way around the Internet lately. You can check it out by clicking on the image to the right. The new keyboard is the one on top.One of the most noticeable things that have been changed in the new keyboard is the Apple logo is on the command key. The logo is now gone, and in its place is a piece of text that says "command." The volume control keys have also been moved to the top center of the new keyboard from their original position on top of the numerical keypad. Three new playback controls have also been added to the F7, F8, and F9 keys, making the new keyboard even more multimedia friendly. Of course, this new computer keyboard design is still just a rumor at present (although it's supposedly available in Hong Kong). Whatever the case, though, the new keyboard does have one thing going for it that this writer particularly appreciates: the "pressed down" design looks like it would allow for easier cleaning. What do you guys think? Leave a comment below. |

nomad7674 over at flickr is reporting that the Apple store in Marlton, NJ, has now begun stocking up on the iPhone's Bluetooth Headset accessory. Needless to say, nomad7674 bought one unit (priced at US$ 129) and happily presented several pictures of the accessory's unboxing.Going into details of the headset's features, nomad7674 states that the unit is small, but fits comfortably well in the user's ear. The box's kit includes a duo dock charger for simultaneously charging the iPhone and headset. The iPhone even displays both its own and the headset's battery gauge when both are plugged in. There's also the advertised Travel cable. On a more interesting note, the headset also comes with a Magsafe connector, which magnetically attaches it to the charger dock and prevents it from falling off. Lastly, the headset appears to be strictly for the phone functions. Activating iPod mode prompts the music to be heard through the phone's speakers. Check with your local Apple Store dealers if they already have stocks, or feel free to drop by nomad7674's flickr account for the headset's pictures. Link is provided at the Read link below. |

Good news for those of us who felt that the first Apple MacBook Pro 85W MagSafe adapter felt just a bit too bulky for comfort - there's a new model of it out, and it's considerably smaller than its first incarnation. Let's take a closer look at the adapter that's going to bring the sexy back when charging our MacBook Pros are concerned. For the mere pittance of US$ 79, you'll be able to experience a sleeker, less ginormous charging experience with the redesigned MacBook Pro 85W MagSafe adapter. Featuring all the good things about the first - a magnetic DC connector that minimizes cable wear and tear, a more than ample maximum cable length, and 85W of charging power - it's still the dependable lifesaver we all depend on to revitalize our MacBook Pros, but in a smaller, neater package. It's also retained its ability to have its cable wound upon itself, to lessen the chances of an annoying cable tangle happening. Definitely a good buy if you're on the road, or simply want a smaller adapter - and certainly another great boon from Apple to its customers. Now, if they could only shrink the 3-4 weeks estimated shipping period. |
