Maggie Q - Image 1The Need for Speed ProStreet gig didn't work out for Electronic Arts and internal studio Black Box, but the superstar publisher decided they could still make a turnaround for the franchise again, starting with Need for Speed Undercover. Perhaps guided by the popularity of night and illegal street racing movies, Need for Speed Undercover's design resettled for the open sandbox design of Most Wanted with a different story. A story, they say, that will include Mission Impossible 3's Maggie Q.

Spore: Galactic Edition - Image 1In light of the EA Maxis' Spore going gold, concern once again has hit the PC gaming segment over the definite inclusion of digital rights management (DRM) software with each copy. Many have argued over the integration of SecuROM on executables of The Sims 2 and its expansions, and now that Spore producer Lucy Bradshaw has confirmed Spore will be succeeded by at least one expansion, there's a whole lot of bickering to come for PC gamers. BioWare - Image 1So it would appear that some third-party developers are getting what Stardock meant - the fate of PC gaming is on the hands of the developers. BioWare, a reputable PC developer of the past, has also expanded to the console market like many others, but they aren't about to abandon the gaming platform. Speaking to MTV, CEOs Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk said that the role-play experts might keep developing PC exclusives in the long run. ZiPhone clues in new jailbreak software for iPhone 2.0 - Image 1Whispers went round since Steve Jobs unveiled the 3G iPhone that Apple had a new version of the iPhone firmware cooking in the kitchen. These whispers soon escalated to rumors that the alleged iPhone v2.0 firmware was to release before the 3G revision of Apple's revered touch phone was ready for retail. aMaze! v1.2.1 - now at 100 levels - Image 1An addicting delight like aMaze! ought to have plenty of levels to gouge on, thus this latest update for the homebrewed labyrinth game for the Apple iPhone. Now we know it's not exactly free, but it if you've tried your hand at the first few levels of the trial, you know the 10 bucks you're going to spend will be worth it.
