If you've been keeping up with the latest iPhone firmware news, you'd have read about the last version of Zibri's ZiPhone being able to jailbreak it successfully. This was even with Zibri recommending users to not risk it.  Now, there's no need to worry, as the Apple iPhone homebrew developer has rolled out ZiPhone 2.5. Yes, this one also works on doing its job (that is, jailbreaking your iPhone), but it's coded so that the process is pretty much risk-free.

So, what's new with this version? While we don't have a changelog for you to peruse, what we do have is a statement from Zibri himself, on its installation procedure. Here it is, verbatim:

I suggest you to do a restore to 1.1.4 not an update. Because installer keeps old installed apps in it's cache and you would have problems. Hoping people at nullriver software resolve that soon. After restore to 1.1.4, just use "ziphone -Z Y" or the first button on GUI versions.
