Sonneteer??s got the goods on the real deal. Their Bardaudio line of products does wireless streaming of uncompressed audio at full wireless bandwidth, sending up to 8 channels of stereo via pure 2.4 GHz with forward error correction. There are three main products in the line: BardOne, which consists of a transmitter at the source and receiver at the amp or AV receiver end, BardUSB which is essentially the transmitter half of BardOne that plugs into a USB 1.1 port to act as a soundcard, and BardThree, a replacement for the BardOne receiver that includes a 25W RMs amplifier so you can plug your speakers directly into it. The options are pricey, though ?? $825 for the BardOne, $599 for a BardUSB/BardOne Rx pair, and $700 for a BardUSB/BardThree combo. But if you really gotta turn it up to 11 hi-fi style, and you gotta do it wirelessly, these may be turning your head regardless |

??Griffin Technology has announced a new accessory for the iPod: iFM, an FM-only receiver that allows users to listen or record FM broadcasts directly onto an iPod. The new Griffin product is apparently only the second such product available for the iPod. Recording FM signals from the iFM only works with full-sized iPods and not with iPod minis, according to Griffin, and storage space is limited by what??s available on the host iPod. Griffin says the iFM will work with U.S., European and Japanese FM bands and will offer six presets per band. There??s also an auto-scan function built in, the company said. Griffin hopes to ship the first units of the iFM by late August at a price of $49.99US? |
