Start your car's engine with the iPhone - Image 1

Via Gizmodo, we were able to find a nifty new iPhone app that essentially allows you to control a car. Delphi was able to demonstrate how their concept web application was able to control some functions of a General Motors Acadia vehicle, and the result was a phone that can start a car engine with a simple tap.

With the use of a WiFi connection, the application was able to start the engine and even open windows. Also, a display of real-time rpm data and engine diagnostic codes were found in the concept program. Currently, they're working on a Bluetooth connection to enhance these features without adding bulk to the device.

With all the features found in the application, no modifications have been made to the iPhone's software or hardware. They were able to the run the program just by using a Safari browser.

Head on over to the source link below to watch the video.
