The Apple iPhone may be the next generation in communication, but ever thought that it could be the next generation in portable gaming as well? Well, to convince you is this little video we have of the latest version of Trism, a puzzle game that takes advantage of both the Apple iPhone's touchscreen and tilt capabilities. Yes, both of them. It's that awesome.

So, what do you do in Trism? Well, you're pretty much given a whole screen of multicolored triangular gems that fit together in rows and columns. Like any puzzle game concerning gems of differing hues, you have to match up three in a row in order to clear them from the screen. Matching them is where this gets original. You have to drag the columns yourselves, by touch, to line them up. Once you do, you get points, and they're taken off the screen.

But that's just the touchscreen aspect of it. See, when the matched triangles disappear, more trisms will fall into the gap to fill it up. You can control just how this happens - i.e. what direction the trisms fall from - by tilting your iPhone whichever way you like. That's where the tilt factor comes in, and pretty much gives you yet another dimension of gameplay. Combine that with wild cards like rainbow trisms, bomb trisms, and black trisms, and you've got a keeper.

Unfortunately, this version is just a demo. The full game itself costs at around US$ 4.99, which is already a steal. So if you're looking for a game that has an insane amount of different ways of playing, this one should be it. The demo itself is available free of charge through the via link below, so be sure to give it a click. In any case, enjoy the video!
