iPod users who would want to have subtitles added to their movie files should take a look at this great find: Submerge. Bitfield's Submerge lets iPod, iPhone and Apple TV users merge a separate subtitle file (either .srt or .sub file types) with a movie file that will still be playable on an iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV.Here's the list of features that makes Submerge a sweet package:
Submerge can also do more than add subtitles, however: it can also adjust the aspect ratio of the movie file to better fit the screen. This function will prove to be very useful to users of the new iPod Nano. If you're interested in using this program, do take note that Submerge isn't freeware like TubeTV; you can get it for only US$ 9 but if you're leery about purchasing the software outright you can always download a free trial version in its official site, which is linked below. |
