If you're big fan of music icons such as Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson and Michael Jackson, then we got news for you that will make you smile all the way to the moon. Sony BMG has just announced that they want to launch an online service plan for those interested.

According to Rolf Schmidt-Holtz, chief executive of the company, they are currently working on an online music subscription service to give clients access to their digital catalogue for their music players, including Apple's iPods.

He added that even if there's a possibility that users can actually own copies of the song indefinitely even if their subscription has already expired.

This particular service could probably be put up and serve consumers this year. Schmidt-Holtz said that they were already in talks with other major music distributors regarding this latest endeavor.
