After being announced late last month, Apple has finally released Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2! The update has more than 100 bug fixes and over 300 new features. Apple has released QuickTime 7.4.1 for users of Mac OS X 10.4.9 Tiger, Mac OS X 10. 3.9 Panther, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Windows XP SP2, and Windows Vista. This security update patches a vulnerability that could cause arbitrary code execution or an unexpected termination of the application when visiting a malicious website. Apple users, heads up! Several updates for iWork '08 has just been released and they mostly tackle about compatibility with Mac OS X. This release bumps all the programs in iWork up to version 4.0.2

It was revealed on the official Apple support group website that the Leopard OS X 10.5 installation CD packaged with the MacBook Air is system locked. This means that it will only work on a MacBook Air and cannot be used to install the operating system on other units.

If you've already patched your QuickBooks accounting software for the Mac, don't let out a sigh of relief just yet.
