Screeshot of Safari 4.0 from Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Image 1

During the recently concluded Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Steve Jobs made a grand announcement about the next major version of the Mac operating system. Labeled as the "Snow Leopard", this next update will come packed with several new features to improve its overall performance.

German website Apfeltalk recently got its hands on a couple of screenshots, showing off the new look of the OS. The image depicted above features one of the new additions to Safari 4.0, which includes a "Save as Web Application" option. This creates an external Safari application out of any webpage, much like Mozilla Prism; a definite improvement from its last update.

Other features highlighted in the screenshots include Exchange integration and Javascript benchmarks. However, we're pretty sure that this is merely the proverbial tip of the iceberg. We'll be sure to catch up on any new updates we get regarding this, so make sure to keep checking back with us here at QJ.NET.
