Making its rounds on the Internet are alleged images of a new Apple iPhone model, with 3G. According to the rumors, the new model will be sporting "a glossy black back, replacing the satin nickel look found on the current model."

iPodObserver.com further notes that the redesigned back of the phone drops the black plastic end piece which covers the antenna, and that it will also be available in 8GB.

But before you guys start fidgeting in excitement over this new toy, do keep in mind that this is just a rumor. At least until Apple gives out an official statement regarding this matter.
