We've previously heard rumors of a new iPod touch model in the works, and it seems like it didn't take long for Apple to come up with a little something new for the MacBook as well. Several images leaked from the Apple.pro Taiwanese site revealed a supposedly new 13-inch casing design for the MacBook to be released this September.

The design on the images bear a close resemblance with Apple's current MacBook Air casing. The site specifically mentions that the new MacBook will opt to shed its former plastic casing for a sturdier aluminum exterior. In addition, it would also appear that the upper half of the casing will no longer carry any excess electronic components.

Please bear in mind that none of these images have been recognized as the genuine article so far. However, we'll be sure to keep an eye on this juicy, new tidbit and see if it holds any truth to it.
