While you're waiting for the rumored second generation Apple iPhone to come along, here are some juicy tidbits for you to chew and ponder on: apparently, it will have 3G as the oft-repeated rumors say, as well as GPS. Those are the new functions that we've heard circling the rumor mill so far, but there are still some other noteworthy things concerning the physical appearance of the rumored next-gen iPhone.

As we have mentioned in an earlier article, the purported new iPhone will come in glossy black. As it turns out, it is also supposed to come with chrome volume buttons, and the iPhone's exterior will have less angular edges compared to the current model. Also, the rumored iPhone will be slightly thicker, and the headphone jack will be flush with the body.

Those wondering about the batteries will probably be disappointed to learn that wouldn't be any changes to them: like the current model, the battery is still not removable, and there is no news about any changes in battery life.

Here's something of note about the image above, however: according to Apple rumor site MacRumors, the image isn't actually the new iPhone, but is most probably just a case. Well, whatever it is, we're going to file this one under rumors for now.
