Now, LG is trying its best to ease the burden and make the whole washing process more bearable by filing a patent for a "home appliance with an MP3 player." It's a washing machine with a dock for your iPod.

What can we say? In the cutthroat appliance market industry, being unique will sell more units. Besides, it's pretty cool to listen to some relaxing tunes to take your mind off the smell of detergent.

There's obviously going to be some more time before we see this one in the market, but it would be fun to see how it does with college students. Now you can bring your washing machine to a house party and be the star of the show.
