You Mac OS X aficionados really like Prometeus, didn't you? You guys were raving about it when we last brought it up. Well, there's a new version out that should be of interest to you guys.

FIRST ASSWIPES... jks cool brew
Honestly who uses a MAC
I do. So what? It's not like I'm forcing you to use it. Would you complain if someone released a program like this for Amiga? Sparc?
Only reason I use Windows is because I'm waiting for a better graphics card in the Macbook Pro. After decades of being pro-Windows, it's hard to deny the sweet scent that Apple exudes. I'm ready to take a bite.
Who buys a MAC ?
The same people that download a DEMO of a SHAREWARE mac application for which there are tons of freeware alternatives for PC users ...
I'm using a mac too.
I don't play any games on a non-console, so why should I use a PC? :o
me!!!
Any support for CDDA audio coming soon? I yearn to play Tama and Jumping Flash with all the BGM.
My e and cue keys don't work, I have to paste every e I write, so I can't write it in ms-dos, uake's GUI won't work on my computer because of some ocgm... thing... I have registered it again, checked registry and it won't work, I used PSX2PSP, but there's no compression is there?
Oh come on, just how cheap can you be? I could find a PS/2 keyboard for $8. Just replace the keyboard, or use one of the other PC GUIs. There's like a billion of them out there.
PSX2PSP has compression. Make sure you have the latest version and look in "options".
Alternatively, run popstation through start->run, or use alt-codes: Hold ALT, type three digits on your number pad, then release ALT:
101 - lower case e
069 - upper case E
113 - lower case q
081 - upper case Q
You can use this in a command prompt.
I can't believe someone is charging for an application for psp users that was meant to be free.
DAX made the custom firmware so PSP owners wouldn't have to buy PS1 games they already own. It seems almost contradictory for people to have pay for an application like this.
You are just too used to ripping off other peoples' software.
Prometeus is an excellent app and Dago Watt is putting a lot of effort into it with almost daily updates.
He only asks that you donate $1. That goes a long way in Hungary.
But you wouldn't know that as you are no doubt sat in a nice comfy house in one of the Top 10 GDP countries, ripping off other peoples' hard work.
You tight bastard.
How would you feel if you didn't get paid for the job you do every day?
L00zr l8mr.
I didn't know the app was yours for a 1$ donation. And second, I'm a poor as dirt, so don't you get all high and mighty over being the proud owner of a piece of ***** house somewhere in Hungary or wherever it is that you live.
As far as 'ripping off other peoples' hard work' the homebrew community is a free community and thrives on being free. Donations, while essential to the survival of the developers interest in the project, are simply optional.
BTW: I'm sorry that you're poor.
and I steal *****. I mean, I use Windows and it's far lacking compared to OSX. But I can't deny my longing for freeware. Switching to Mac didn't stop me from getting Mac software free.
And I am not poor. I'm just an ass.
Everyone knows that pound-for-pound Macs are better than PC's, a lot more stylish and OSX is easier and nicer to use than XP/Vista.
But even I have to lower myself occasionally and run XP/Vista on my Mac to run crap like MS Project for my clients.
At least I can emulate other machines at close to full speed. Try that on Windows (OSX+XP+Vista+Solaris+Linux) without it bluescreening.
I used Windows on a PC professionally as a developer for 15+ years, but I would never touch a non-Unix machine again.
D_H
it's not like it's very expensive to buy the full app. it's a dollar US. that's the price of pepsi can. i can spare a dollar to show a dev that his program is appreciated. even better, he updated the app about 5 times in less than 10 days.
