For those of us equipped with the Apple iPhone or iPod touch, here's some very good news: Apple has recently announced the arrival of bigger, better models (in terms of memory capacity) of both gadgets. Sure, they're just a bit more pricey than the originals, but you can't discount the fact that they offer more storage. Check out the full details after the jump. |

Like other Griffin products from before, this one will allow easy tuning with the SmartDisplay user interface that shows the selected frequency. You can preset your favorite station frequencies for easy access. You can even jump from mono and stereo modes effortlessly. Even with the huge space in your iPod flash memory, there's bound to be a time when you want a degree of unpredictability that is beyond just shuffling tracks. For those days, the Pocket will be more than willing to serve. |

The world (well, except Japan) flocks to Apple's doorstep for the iPhone, but don't think that (and the iTV - well, Apple TV now) would be the whole world for MacWorld. You might have just overlooked something just as interesting (sexy, even). Remember all those rumors and wild dreams about an Apple UMPC/UMMac? Well, it's still a no-show in MacWorld 2007, but Axiotron, Inc., with Other World Computing, provides the closest thing possible. Meet the ModBook: their take on a Tablet Mac. "The first ever Mac OS X tablet computer solution" literally is the guts of a Core 2 Duo MacBook in the shell of a UMPC, explains AppleInsider. It will cost the buyer around US$ 2,279 to transplant the essence of a MacBook into a 13.3 inch Wacom pen-enabled widescreen and chrome-plated magnesium top shell. The ModBook retains all the functionality of its donor, up to and including the CD/DVD combo drive and the iSight camera. The ModBook also comes with an optional built-in GPS system. It drew such a huge crowd - for a non-Apple booth - and it was awarded "Best in Show". Until January 31, Other Word is offering a special introductory price of US$ 2,199 for the ModBook - optional GPS included. Slated for an April release. Pictures of the demo pre-production unit below from AppleInsider. Come on. You know you want it. Please tap your pens on the Full Article link for more pictures of the ModBook. |

What is it about Red anyway? What is it about Apple's "Red" Nano that makes it so hot? (I mean, other than the color.) Perhaps it's because that with every purchase of the product, Steve Jobs and his space monkeys will donate ten dollars to the Global Fund to Fight AIDs in Africa. A lot of kind-hearted souls out there huh? You see, though MacScoop's sources could not reveal the exact numbers, they believe the company has received hundreds of thousand orders for the Red Nano in the first two weeks. A quick examination of Apple's online store sales top 10, shows that the "Red" Nano is a big seller. MacScoop says that given the huge number of sales that Apple has registered for the Red Nano, the company is considering to release other Red products. They say that possible products include, a red MacBook, a red iMac, and a red video iPod. Macscoop does add though that it might be too early to predict with certainty the arrival of other Red products as a new color in any of Apple's line-up means a whole lot of production and inventory management. Oh the costs of operation. Anyway all this red-hotness makes Bono come to mind. We're thinking that people just want to look cool, I mean, cool enough for someone like Ms. Hilton to go "that's Hot" at that Nano that you've got hooked near your crotch, and then at the same time make yourself feel as philanthropic as Mr. I'm-cool-enough-to-wear-shades-indoors Bono. Yep it's Bono-ism I tell you. |

If you've heard rumors of a red iPod and just started drooling uncontrollably out of sheer lust, then you can start turning all that pent up emotion into kinetic energy and make a dash for your favorite Apple store. Yes people, the red Nano is a reality.Looking as red as a cherry and retaining its trademark sleekness, the Special Edition 4GB iPod Nano RED has everything you love about the Nano: it's lightweight, has a 1.5-inch color display, battery life for up to 24 hours, and it only costs $199. Also, $10 from every one of these babies sold goes directly to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. A very good deal for a very good cause. |

Memorex has revealed a new portable video player for fifth-generation iPods. Called the iFlip (not to be confused with the iPod case of the same name), the video player features an 8.4-inch LCD display, integrated speakers, a tilting iPod dock, and a lithium-ion battery. Users can watch their videos on the iFlip's built-in display or just use its speakers for music-only playback. Hmmm. If you close the iFlip, it looks kinda like an old external modem. Hah. The iFlip (not to be confused with the computer table of the same name) has a native resolution of 480 x 234. Battery life clocks in at up to five hours of power. The unit also has S-video out, line out, and dual headphone jacks. While the iFlip (y'know what, i really wanna say "not to be confused with the portable video player of the same name" - couldn't their R&D/marketing guys have come up with a more unique name?) has its own on-screen menu system (for brightness, contrast, etc.), Memorex said that the user will still navigate music and video via the iPod. If this thing came with a remote, then I'd buy one in no time. This baby will launch in mid-September, carrying a price tag of $200. The iFlip will be available in black or white, with an iFlip carrying case sold separately. |

When you want to take your computer with you when you're on the go your options are usually pretty limited - you're often forced to go with a laptop - taking a large tower, monitor, keyboard and mouse along is a little bit of a difficult thing to do. Peter Green, however, decided to try a new approach with the already small Mac Mini design in case modding his Mac Mini to include a micro keyboard, battery, small lcd and touch mouse. You have to applaud people who take the time and effort to try something new and different like this, but the money that it would have cost and the sheer time it would have taken to make something as bulky as this makes you wonder why he wouldn't have gone with an iBook or MacBook in the first place. |

The mm32 set will not be as spiffy as the mm50 and the price reflects that. It will retail in the US for around $80 later this month. |

Contrary to an earlier report today, according to the analyst firm Visongain, Apple is planning to release a G3 and VOIP ready iPod phone this spring. This phone will supposedly be ready to launch with the new service provider - Helio, a new network service provider going for the younger crowd. The relationship between Apple and Helio management goes back to the Motorola ROKR iTunes phone - which was not a major success - and odds are good that any iPod phone would be exclusive to Helio for at least the first months of their launch to boost their initial sales. Helio is a $440,000,000 joint venture between SK Telecom and Earthlink and aims to sign 3 million customers by 2009. |

Logitech has unveiled its new speaker set to upgrade from the old mm22 speakers. These speakers will run off of four AA batteries and will allow up to 10 hours playback. The set also includes an AC adapter if you don't feel like spending your weeks gasoline allowance on batteries.
