Open Office - Image 1

Heads up, Mac open source fans. The Open Office organization is looking to add more free gear to your software library with the port of the free Open Office made popular on the Windows platform. An alpha test version is currently out and is usable but the array of features you can actually access is very limited.

For instance, the print command isn't available, PDF export does not properly work as the text won't show on the page right and copy+paste still doesn't fully work among others.

Still, the core of the apps are running as smoothly as you'd expect from an alpha version. To get the full list of known bugs and information on how to download the suite, follow the read URL.

 » so what?

I'm using the "real" version of office 2007 on vista right now, (with `mac style dock bar since I don't have enough money for a mac right now) and I didn't pay for it... It's as easy to get for mac. The only good point is for older people or people who are not really interested in piracy (a lot of people I suppose).
