Flight+ - Image 1 Apple and Nike are at it again, and this time they're planning to release a series of follow-ups to the successful Nike + iPod Sport Kit. According to iLounge, Nike plans to release a series of at least two and perhaps three hybrid watch and wireless remote control accessories for Nike + iPod Sport Kit-equipped iPod nanos.

The first one up is Flight+ (US$ 129), a wireless iPod remote control housed within a fully-working wristwatch body. iLounge reveals that "Flight+Â?s music controls, such as volume and track adjustment, are built into a rocking bezel around its central Electroluminescent (EL) backlit watch screen."

Flight+ will be available in two colors and will feature the typical watch functions such as time, date, and alarms as well as the ability to trigger the Nike + iPod Sport KitÂ?s voice feedback feature. The Flight + is planned for a May 1 release this year.

Next up is Amp+ (US$ 79), which is slated for a May 1 release and will be available in five different colors. This little doohickey was previously disclosed to MenÂ?s Health by Nike and is "a bracelet-styled remote control with a stripped-down subset of Flight+Â?s features." Personally, it looks like Peter Burns' iPod concept watch to me. Maybe even that concept watch is just beyond the horizon.

Anyway, Amp+'s integrated LED display also has the ability to display either time or iPod control status. An iPod shuffle-styled control pad to let users change tracks, adjust volume, and play/pause songs on the iPod, and special Sport Controls to call up the Sport KitÂ?s special voice feedback and PowerSong features. "Though the majority of its body appears to be made from plastic," says iLounge's Jeremy Horwitz, "Amp+ is described as using a solid stainless steel double action clasp to seal shut on the wearerÂ?s wrist."

The last is a watch called Aero+ (what's with all the pluses anyway?). Aero+ appears to be a menÂ?s version of the Flight+ design: larger body, more rugged look, and similar wireless remote and clock functionality. Pricing and release information for the Aero+ have yet to be disclosed.
