Nike + iPod - Image 1Fitness-conscious folks who haven't bought into the Nike + iPod experience yet will now have even more reasons to do so. Apple and Nike have devised a new way to further improve the way people check their daily workouts: integrating Nike + iPod technology on cardio gym equipment.

Both Apple and Nike are actively working with several gym equipment manufacturers, to ensure that the Nike + iPod experience will be spread to the gym lifestyle and not only by individual iPod users who turn to jogging as their main exercise. "We're excited to be working with Nike and leading equipment manufacturers to bring the Nike + iPod experience to the gym," said Greg Joswiak, vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing for iPod.

It makes sense, really. With Apple and Nike's plan, fitness buffs would be able to track their progress on their iPods and upload them to cardio equipment to better guide them on how much more effort they need to exert.
