Apple iPod Touch - Image 1The figurative gauntlet was thrown at Apple's recent Let's Rock event in San Francisco. According to Steve Jobs, the iPod Touch is "the best portable device for playing games". That's a grand statement right there, but then again, if you're selling something you wouldn't be touting it as the second-, third-, or whatever-best gaming device, now would you?

Study points to network weakness as source of iPhone 3G woes - Image 1I'm sure that iPhone 3G users would have heard of the persisting network problems users have been experiencing. Perhaps you may even be one of them. I even heard of one woman who sued Apple for false advertising over the speed of the iPhone 3G's connection.

A new independent research says that it doesn't have anything to do with the device's hardware at all - the problem lies with the carrier networks. More in the full article.

Apple goes white - Image 1If you're not exactly the tidy kind of person, or if you've got sweaty hands or you're just clumsy all over, spilling drinks on everything, then this item is certainly not for you. Apple's iPhone has now been released in the UK, and we're sure there are many out there who'd love to have it for themselves, although not exactly qualified to take care of anything that is colored white.

rawr! me a piratez! - Image 1The music industry has spoken out about the five British developers and publishers going after illegal file-sharers in the UK. What of the other players in the gaming industry? We have yet to hear any official word on the matter from other developers or publishers, but Peter Moore - in his personal capacity - has talked about it, and he'd have to agree... with the music industry.

piracy - Image 1British game developers have launched an all-out war against illegal file-sharers. They're not about to take piracy in the industry sitting down. But the music industry, another victim of the pirates, aren't backing them up on this cause. It's an apparent disagreement in approach and disposition.
