American Gangster - Image 1The Diving Bell and the Butterfly - Image 1

It seems Apple is not content with iTunes's success as the largest music retailer in the United States. Now, Apple is furthering their efforts for the movie-loving population by announcing new iTunes movie releases on the same day as its DVD release.

Universal Pictures' American Gangster (starring Denzel Washington and Al Pacino) and Pathe Renn Productions' The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (starring Mathieu Amalric) are the featured iTunes releases which will coincide with their DVD debuts. According to an Apple press release, you can have these titles for US$ 14.99

Here is a complete list of other catalog titles which you can purchase for US$ 9.99:
  • Juno
  • Cloverfield
  • I Am Legend
  • There Will Be Blood
  • Alvin and the Chipmunks
  • Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.
You can view these films using the following Apple products: iPod with video, iPhone, Mac or PC or on a widescreen TV with Apple TV. More updates as QJ.NET gets them.
