Owning an iPhone means that you won't suffer from boredom whenever you're left alone with nothing to do; but what if surfing the Internet, watching YouTube clips, or listening to music just doesn't do the job for you anymore? Well, here are some fun homebrew iPhone games from the Rusty Red Wagon / Chris Miles for you to download to your iPhone to help you while away your time.

The games are your typical pick-up-and-play games that are suitable for whiling away your time while on the go: iCrossword, iSlots, and iSolitaire. Here are some notes that you may need to look over before you try downloading and installing these games:

If it's your first time to play iCrossword, version 0.2 lets you double tap the navigation bar to display the options screen, where you can access information about the current puzzle. You can also add and upload .puz files to add more crossword love to your iPhone.

The latest version of iSlots, 0.5, is a piece of Vegas that can fit into your pocket. A three-reel slot machine game, iSlots indeed has a Vegas feel to it in terms of visuals and sounds. Players can save credits, and what's good about this game is that you can view how other players fare in this game in its Top 50 winners web page and Top Five winners ticker.

Finally, iSolitaire version 0.81 lets players play Solitaire, Klondike-style. iSolitaire has a nifty personalization option where players can add and change themes. As a sample of theme support, a default wood theme, created by Armadillo, is added.

All games are tested on Ziphone version 1.1.3. Compatibility with earlier versions of Ziphone is not tested and is not likely to work. You can download the games directly to your iPhone by adding http://iphone.rustyredwagon.com/repo to your iPhone's Installer.app sources. Since the games are direct download, you must proceed and install them with caution.

There's another application, which is far more useful, available from the Rusty Red Wagon: iLocation version 0.1. Basically, iLocation is an iPhone app that tells you your current coordinates and displays it in iPhone Maps. The program utilizes cellular tower location to estimate one's coordinates. iLocation is not yet available for public use, however, due to legal reasons.
