Screenshot of NemusSync Apple iPhone homebrew app - Image 1Fitting in all those dates into your iPhone Calendar can be such a chore at times. Fortunately, developer Sangwook Han was able to create a homebrew application which syncs your mobile phone's Calendar function with that of Google Calendar.

NemusSync has the ability to synchronize multiple calendars and shares all the dates and events outlined on them. This may take a while when doing this for the first time, but it will all be worth it once you're done with the initial sync process.

The latest build, version 0.5.3, takes care of the hanging issue whenever an invalid recurring event pops up. It also discards all calendar events that happened before the iPhone Reference date (2001).

Anyway, here is the complete changelog of NemusSync ever since its first release last May 6:

0.5.3 : 2008/05/15
  • Bug fix: halting on invalid recurring event.
  • Discard older events than iPhone Reference date(2001-1-1 0:0:0 GMT).
0.5.2 : 2008/05/13
  • Sync policy changed : Upload all local events to default google calendar.
  • Bug fix : duplicating copied event on google when conflict occur.
  • Clean garbage for Events of Calendars which removed from Google.
  • Show confirm popups inside advanced menu.
0.5.1a - first release : 2008/05/06

The developer also noted that NemusSync may have some collision issues when installed with IntelliScreen. This may cause IntelliScreen to no longer show Events after installing NemusSync, although this can easily be remedied by running the IntelliScreenConfig once, and then saving it again after.

If you're interested in trying out this homebrew app, you can download NemusSync off the developer's repository at "http://www.nemustech.com/iPhone/repos/". In addition, an article on Apple iPhone School outlined some steps on how to sync your iPhone Calendar with Google Calendar. You can follow an off-site link to Apple iPhone School by clicking here.

There are still many other planned features and small issues that the developer has yet to address. The next version of NemusSync should be released before May 19, so we'll be sure keep an eye out for it until it arrives.
