If you feel like adding a little spice into some of the text-heavy applications found on your Apple iPhone, then you may want to try out this homebrew app developed by Andreas Linde. Locations is a native iPhone application that lets you watch webcam images and inserts in the background while another application is running.

Version 0.3.0 of Locations has a lot of new updates. The biggest one now allows you to search for images through nearby webcams. Some new performance enhancements are also included in the newest build.

To install Locations, make sure to add the latest version of Community Sources in your Installer.app repository list. After searching for Locations, make sure to check if the newest 0.3.0 version is the one you found since the developer notes that a lower version of Locations is also available on another repository. You might accidentally end up download or downgrading to the lower version.
