Mac OS X 10.5.5 build 9F17 now in developers' hands - Image 1

Along with the release of the iPhone's Software v2.0.2 last Monday, Apple also released the latest build of the Mac OS X 10.5.5 to developers. The private build, titled 9F17, doesn't have any known bugs, but was reported to have several fixes from the previous version.

Apple said that particular attention was given to iCal Invitations and read-only local calendars, Back to My Mac, Mail syncing, and CoreAnimation. Sources say that the total number of code corrections now total 120.

We still don't know what's up with the instructions given with the prior build saying not to install it with certain machines with integrated graphics chips. At any rate, 10.5.5 is said to be released in the next few weeks.
