Screenshot of Kingdom Lores Apple iPhone homebrew game - Image 1We've seen some very awesome visuals on homebrew games ever since the release of Apple's SDK for the iPhone. Developer Marco Giorgini recently released a homebrew game entitled "Kingdom Lores", which sets the bar for graphically impressive homebrew games on Apple's mobile platform. The game basically plays like a 3D hack-and-slash title, with an option to play via LAN also available.

Judging from the screenshot taken from the game, the 3D graphics of Kingdom Lores certainly packs an impressive punch when compared to the more casual line of games usually found on the iPhone. The game is currently in its alpha stage and already features fully playable elements.

Here's a short list of Kingdom Lores' version builds ever since its first release:
  • 0.0.62 - fixed issues with treasure chest - reduce package size - other stuff - first version on installer source
  • 0.0.61 - started to create a "real" town - fixes for lan mode - other stuff
  • 0.0.60 update - hi-scores - bonus killing enemies - fixed something on lan-mode game.
  • 0.0.60 - lot of changes. Added two more points of view. Started lan-mode game.
  • 0.0.58 - fixed some menu issues. Enable accelerometer. Config is save and loaded. Resource package now is under app folder (single dir). Now in game there are 3 different kind of Goblin and one ogre.
  • 0.0.57 - first public drop
Kingdom Lores can already be downloaded through the Big Boss source repository for iPhone users who are interested in trying it out. You can also view the alpha version of the game by downloading the plist.xml found on the source link that we've provided below.
