Cnet's Declan McCullagh has a predicament: Why's it so hard to get 'Buffy' on my iPod? With a cross-country trip planned, Declan takes on several software and hardware solutions to transferring shows to an Ipod. The result is mixed, and interesting, with no clear-cut winner yet available for the task. Some programs, while producing awesome results, take a very long time to process. Others on the net, with their quicker file downloads, often end in crappy-looking transfers of television shows and DVD movies. It makes for an interesting read, especially for Mac owners looking for the perfect solution. How about you guys, which program has worked for you, and which has produced the best looking result? We want to know. [Via, Cnet] |

I will say the best solution for me with the best results is using IMToo DVD to iPod for dvd transfers (2 hours a flick) and 3gp video converter for video files (took about 1.5 hours for 20 epidsodes of family guy).
since i have a PSP i use video programs such as PSPVideo9 and the Xilisoft PSP Movie Converter(same as the IMToo thing the person before me mentioned).
Ditto on 3gp converter. Faster and more reliable than any other program out there (including QT Pro, which is ungodly slow, and Videora, which is riddled with bugs).
I use this things called the Cucusoft Ipod Movie and Video Converter thats the whole name its very user friendly and I dont know about speeds I just run it over night it usually takes about 30 mins for one 2 hour movie google it and download the trial you should like it.
MoviePod for mac has never failed me.
intervideo dvd 4 for dvds.it codes from dvd to mp4 and videora for any video file
